the next biggest loser??...so far

2 weeks down of the biggest loser competition-5.5 months to go.

in 2 weeks i've lost 7 lbs, which isn't the most pounds lost so far,but it is the highest percentage body weight lost...so,so far...I'M the biggest loser! it's still SUPER early in the game, but attempting to keep that lead is a GREAT motivation, especially since the person in second place is less than half a percentage behind.

workouts have been amazing. i've been working out every day. i think in 2 weeks i've only taken one day off. every day i've worked out anywhere from 45 minutes to almost 3 hours(throughout the day,not all at once). tacoma is a very hill-y area,and there were these hills at the end of my trek that i would DESPISE because they were so steep, i swore i was gonna die every time i went up them. now,i power through them with ease. i'm the kind of person who, when i know i'm near the end of something will work harder or go faster in order to get it over with sooner. i have things i tell myself that help a lot. if i'm out of breath i say "keep going...you can breath when you get to the top!" or if a part of my body is burning i imagine that calories are trailing behind me like fairy dust (strange,but it works for me!). listening to great,fast paced music is a good motivation too, trying to keep my steps in time with the beat.

i'm feeling so strong right now. i really want to take a kickboxing class. my friend told me about some kind of kickboxing/dancing class that sounds like fun. we would be doing that twice a week. so, right now we're looking into that and we're gonna do it together!(things are always more fun with two :) i'd also like to start hiking on the cascades once a weekend. i wasn't aware of this until recently, but there's a few mountain hiking trails not too far from where i live(i thought the only ones were on mt rainier which is about 1.5 drive from tacoma). i'm kind of anti-gym, especially during the summer, so the more free things i can find to do outside,the better!
